The history of Wokingham Music Club
Wokingham Music Club opened it doors on Friday 6th April 2012. It's venue was courtesy Maurice Monk who was the owner of Cantley Lodge Hotel.
The open act was Adam Smith and the headline act Never The Bride who kindly brought Dani Wilde along as a guest
After a few shows it became clear that for all its plus points Cantley Lodge was not going to be a long term venue for club and in November 2012 it moved to Emmbrook Sports & Social Club.
On 12th May 2017 The Whitty Theatre Wokingham was added as a location. Fred's House & The Jigantics were the acts that night and on 16th November 2018 The Royal British Legion was added to its list of venues with Focus and Zack Johnson being the acts that night
Acts are attracted to playing at the club as it has an attentive audience who appreciate quality musicianship
Below are some of the acts who played in the early years together with a list of our last 30 gigs..
